Become a Host Family!
Being a host family means more than providing a bed and meals; it means opening your doors to experiencing new cultures and giving students a second home. If you’re ready to open your heart and share your home, chances are you’ve got what it takes to host an international student!
As a host family, you will be able to give international students a home away from home. You will have a chance to learn from one another, share different customs, explore different cultures, and help students get the best experience abroad possible.
What do I need to become a host family?
FA Homestay hosts are required to be at least 25 years old, and be able to provide the following:
-
A bedroom and a bed (private room required)
-
A bathroom (can be shared)
-
An appropriate place to study
-
Meals at home and school (depending on location and student age*)
-
Assistance in coordinating appropriate transportation (depending on location and student age*)
* FA Homestay serves both high school and college-aged students depending on location, but the host can choose their preference.
